Abstract

U završnom radu analiziraju se mogućnosti i perspektive razvoja eko hotela na području Republike Hrvatske. Mogućnosti i perspektive razvoja analiziraju se kroz 5 poglavlja u kojima se pobliže shvaća pojam održivog razvoja i njegove primjene u hotelijerstvu, kao i način na koji ovi hoteli svojim naporima u sferi zaštite okoliša mogu osigurati određeni eko certifikat, kao i koji su to neki od najcjenjenijih eko certifikata u svjetskom i hrvatskom hotelijerstvu. Nastavak rada fokusira se na nastanak eko hotela u Hrvatskoj i tumači njihovu prednost u odnosu na konvencionalno hotelijerstvo, te kakav je dosadašnji razvoj eko hotela na prostoru Hrvatske i kojim to perspektivama razvoja treba pridodati posebnu važnost ako se želi istaknuti na svjetskom turističkom tržištu i postati zemljom "zelenog" hotelijerstva. Nakon shvaćanja kojim to perspektivama ili "novim trendovima" hrvatsko hotelijerstvo treba dati prednost u svom razvoju rad se osvrće na budućnost razvoja eko hotela. Za kraj se u završnom radu teorija pretvara u praksu, točnije na stvarnim primjerima nekih od najpoznatijih eko hotela Republike Hrvatske mogu se još jasnije shvatiti sve prednosti ovakve vrste hotela i to koliko svojim poslovanjem ne utječu samo na poboljšanje i očuvanje neobnovljivih resursa koje turizam treba i mora čuvati, već i na to da potiču rast i razvoj gospodarstva zemlje i privlače onu turističku potražnju koja je spremna dati više za ovakvu relativno novu vrstu hotelskog smještaja, ali i to da se nikako ne smiju zanemariti ni mali privatni smještaji poput "Eko kuće Zabodarski" koja se analizira u radu i koji također igraju značajnu ulogu u stvaranju održivije smještajne ponude Republike Hrvatske. Kritičkim osvrtom i zaključkom rada još će se više razumjeti zašto eko hoteli predstavljaju budućnost hrvatskog hotelijerstva.

Abstract (english)

The final paper analyzes the possibilities and perspectives of the development of eco hotels in the Republic of Croatia. The possibilities and perspectives of development are analyzed through 5 chapters in which the concept of sustainable development and its application in the hotel industry are understood in more detail, as well as the way in which these hotels can secure a certain eco certificate through their efforts in the field of environmental protection, as well as which are some of the most valued eco certificates in the global and Croatian hotel industry. The continuation of the work focuses on the emergence of eco-hotels in Croatia and interprets their advantage in relation to the conventional hotel industry, as well as what is the current development of eco-hotels in Croatia and which development perspectives should be given special importance if it wants to stand out on the world tourist market and become a country of "green" hotel industry. After understanding which perspectives or "new trends" the Croatian hotel industry should prioritize in its development, the paper looks at the future of eco-hotel development. Finally, in the final paper, theory is turned into practice, more precisely, on the real examples of some of the most famous eco hotels in the Republic of Croatia, all the advantages of this type of hotel can be understood even more clearly, and how much their operations not only affect the improvement and preservation of non-renewable resources that tourism needs and must protect, but also that they stimulate the growth and development of the country's economy and attract that tourist demand that is ready to pay more for this relatively new type of hotel accommodation, but also that small private accommodations such as "Eco House Zabodarski" which is analyzed in the paper, should not be neglected and also play a significant role in creating a more sustainable accommodation offer in the Republic of Croatia. With a critical review and conclusion of the paper, it will be even more understandable why eco hotels represent the future of Croatian hotel industry.
