Abstract

U ovom radu analiziran je životni standard studenata u Hrvatskoj, Italiji i Nizozemskoj prema odgovarajućim pokazateljima. Cilj rada je bio provesti komparativnu analizu životnog standarda studenata i uvjeta studiranja u odabranim zemljama Europske unije te istražiti utjecaj državne, javne i ekonomske politike na njihov životni standard. Glavni doprinos rada očituje se u proširenju literature koja izučava životni standard studenata. Analiza životnog standarda studenata može biti važna za poslovno planiranje, posebice u sektoru visokog obrazovanja pri planiranju ulaganja u obrazovanje, otvaranju novih obrazovnih institucija, razvoju novih programa i usluga za studente te pri donošenju odluka o povećanju ili smanjenju poticaja, školarina i slično. Rad se temelji na analizi primarnih podataka prikupljenih anketom i sekundarnih podataka prikupljenih analizom domaće i strane literature, članaka i dostupnih baza podataka.

Abstract (english)

This paper analyzes the standard of living in Croatia, Italy, and the Netherlands based on indicators, followed by an examination of the standard of living for students in said countries. The objective of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the standard of living for students and the conditions of studying in selected European union countries, as well as to review the influence of governmental, public, and economic policies on their standard of living. The main contribution of this paper is broadening the literature that connects a country’s standard of living with the standard of living of students within that country. Analyzing the standard of living for students can be important for business planning, particularly for the tertiary education sector when planning investments for education, opening new institutions, developing new programs and services for students, and making decisions regarding the increase or decrease of incentives, tuition fees, and similar. This paper is based on the analysis of primary data collected through anonymous online survey and secondary data gathered from the analysis of domestic and foreign literature, articles, and available databases.
