Abstract

Trenutna globalna energetska kriza, a naročito događanja u Ukrajini, osvijestila su značaj elektroenergetskog sustava u funkcioniranju države i života građana. Energetski sektor kao jedan od najkompleksnijih grana ima veliki utjecaj na ostale djelatnosti i stratešku važnost stoga je nužno, zbog volatilnosti cijena u tom području, osigurati maksimalnu kontrolu gospodarstva. Kontrola se osigurava postizanjem financijske stabilnosti uz društveno odgovorno poslovanje. S druge strane, razvoj poslovne otpornosti je ključan u ovakvim vremenima jer dovodi do ostvarenja konkurentske prednosti i napretka. Samo poduzeća koja ispunjavaju te uvjete imaju sposobnost zaštite građana i poduzetnika. Učinak rata vidljiv je kroz potrebu za zelenom energetskom tranzicijom s fokusom na korištenje obnovljivih izvora energije. Energetska se tranzicija temelji na održivom razvoju i kružnom gospodarstvu. U nastojanju ostvarenja dugoročne održivosti kako bi se smanjili negativni učinci na okoliš, Europska unija te Vlada RH razvile su odgovarajuće energetske strategije. S obzirom da se potreba za njom javila prije pojave rata, poduzeća s implementiranim sustavom korištenja obnovljivih izvora energije lakše podnose energetsku krizu. Dugoročna održivost smatra se ključnom za uspješno poslovanje, a kako bi ono bilo moguće krizni menadžment u kriznim situacijama mora provoditi potrebne mjere s ciljem osiguranja preživljavanja poduzeća i ponovnog postizanja stabilnosti. Analiza unutarnjeg poslovanja Hrvatske elektroprivrede pokazala je da je uspješnost poslovanja značajno smanjena, što je potvrdila i usporedba s ostalim poduzećima energetskog sektora na području RH. Sukladno rezultatima analize, koji ukazuju na važnost utjecaja volatilnosti cijena na pojavu nestabilnosti poslovanja, točnije pad financijske stabilnosti, uspješnosti te ekonomičnosti, preporuča se korištenje obnovljivih izvora energije i pojačana izgradnja elektrana na području RH čime bi se smanjila ovisnost o inozemnim dobavljačima.

Abstract (english)

The current global energy crisis, and especially the events in Ukraine, have brought awareness to the importance of the power system in the functioning of the state and the lives of citizens. The energy sector, as one of the most complex branches, has a great influence on other activities and is of strategic importance, therefore due to the volatility of prices in that area, it is necessary to ensure maximum control of the economy. Control ensures the achievement of financial stability with socially responsible business operations. On the other hand, the development of business resilience is crucial in times like these because it leads to the achievement of competitive advantage and progress. Only companies that meet these conditions have the ability to protect citizens and entrepreneurs. The effect of the war is visible through the need for a green energy transition with a focus on the use of renewable energy sources. Energy transition is based on sustainable development and circular economy. In striving to achieve long-term sustainability in order to reduce negative effects on the environment, the European Union and the Croatian government have developed corresponding energy strategies. Given that the need for it arose before the outbreak of the war, companies with an implemented system of using renewable energy sources can withstand the energy crisis more easily. Long-term sustainability is considered the key to successful business, and in order for it to be possible, crisis management in crisis situations must implement the necessary measures with the aim of ensuring the survival of the company and regaining stability. The analysis of the internal operations of Hrvatska elektroprivreda showed that the performance of the operations was significantly reduced, which was also confirmed by a comparison with other companies in the energy sector in the territory of the Republic of Croatia. According to the results of the analysis, which indicate the importance of the influence of price volatility on the appearance of business instability, more precisely the decline in financial stability, efficiency and economy, it is recommended to use renewable energy sources and increase the construction of power plants in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, which would reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.
