Abstract

Kreativno računovodstvo je inicijalno zamišljeno kao prikaz poslovanja poduzeća, no s vremenom je poprimilo drugo značenje i postalo manipulativno računovodstvo. Područje primjene računovodstvenih manipulacija je široko i proteže se kroz sve pozicije u financijskim izvještajima. Svakim novim računovodstvenim skandalom izađu novi načini iskrivljavanja financijske slike poduzeća. Granica između kreativnog i manipulativnog računovodstva je jako tanka, jer svaka prilagodljivost računovodstvenih standarda na kraju posljedično rezultira računovodstvenom manipulacijom, jer su učinci kroz razdoblja sve veći i prožimajući. Financijski izvještaji bi trebali biti vjerodostojni i pouzdani, te svim zainteresiranim stranama prikazati točne informacije. Naglasak ovog rada je upravo na važnosti utjecaja računovodstvenih manipulacija na financijsko izvještavanje. Cilj rada je prikazati utjecaj računovodstvenih manipulacija na pozicije u financijskim izvještajima. Opisane su mogućnosti manipulacija prihodima, rashodima te cjelokupnom imovinom. Na kraju rada napravljena je analiza na primjeru poznatog računovodstvenog skandala iz Japana te je prikazan utjecaj
skandala na daljnje poslovanje poduzeća.

Abstract (english)

Creative accounting was initially conceived as a representation of a company's operations, but nowdays it has taken on a different meaning and become manipulative accounting. The scope of accounting manipulations extends through all positions in financial statements. With each new accounting scandal, new methods of distorting the financial picture of a company emerge. The boundary between creative and manipulative accounting is very thin because any adaptability of accounting standards ultimately results in accounting manipulation, as the effects over periods become increasingly pervasive. Financial reports should be credible and reliable, presenting accurate information to all stakeholders. The emphasis of this work is on
the importance of the impact of accounting manipulations on financial reporting. The aim of the work is to demonstrate the impact of accounting manipulations on positions in financial statements. Possibilities of manipulating revenues, expenses, and overall assets are described. At the end of the work, an analysis is conducted using a well-known accounting scandal from
Japan, illustrating the impact of the scandal on the company's future operations.
