Abstract

Bankovni sustav utječe na razvijenost financijskih institucija i gospodarstvo države. Danas u Republici Hrvatskoj dominiraju inozemne komercijalne banke koje ujedno predstavljaju najvažniji dio financijskog sustava Hrvatske. Financijska tržišta se dijele na tržište novca i tržište kapitala. Na tržištu kapitala se trguje dionicama, koje se definiraju kao instrumenti vlastitog financiranja dioničkog društva te se nazivaju i permanentni vrijednosni papiri. U ovom radu je prikazano kretanje i utjecaj COVID-19 pandemije na prosječne dnevne cijena i prodane količina dionica Zagrebačke banke d.d. u 2019., 2020. i 2021. godini. Najprije su prikupljeni podaci o količinama i cijenama dionica Zagrebačke banke sa stranica Zagrebačke burze, a zatim je provedena deskriptivna statistička analiza te su prikazana odstupanja od prosjeka, disperzija podataka, simetričnost distribucije i slično. Može se zaključiti kako je pandemija utjecala na rast fluktuacija prodanih količina i prosječnih cijena dionica. Uslijed pandemije je došlo do rasprodaje dionica te pada njihovih cijena.

Abstract (english)

The banking system affects the development of financial institutions and the state's economy. Today, the Republic of Croatia is dominated by foreign commercial banks, which at the same time represent the most important part of the Croatian financial system. Financial markets are divided into money market and capital market. Shares are traded on the capital market, which are defined as instruments of self-financing of a joint-stock company and are also called permanent securities. This paper presents the movement and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the average daily price and volume of shares sold in Zagrebačka banka d.d. in 2019, 2020 and 2021. First, data on the quantities and prices of Zagrebačka banka shares were collected from the pages of the Zagreb Stock Exchange, and then a descriptive statistical analysis was carried out, and deviations from the average, dispersion of data, symmetry of distribution and the like were shown. It can be concluded that the pandemic affected the growth of fluctuations in the quantities sold and average share prices. As a result of the pandemic, stocks were sold off and their prices fell.
