Abstract

Ulazak Republike Hrvatske u Europsku uniju predstavljao je ključan vanjskopolitički, ekonomski i društveni događaj u 21. stoljeću što je i bio cilj nakon najvećeg događaja u 20. stoljeću, a to je stjecanje neovisnosti. Rad istražuje utjecaj ulaska Hrvatske u Europsku uniju na hrvatsko gospodarstvo. Kroz opsežnu analizu sagledava različite ekonomske pokazatelje i trendove prije i nakon ulaska Hrvatske u Europsku uniju. Istražuje se utjecaj na bruto domaći proizvod, investicije, tržište rada, ekonomske odnose s inozemstvom i regionalni razvoj Republike Hrvatske. Za potrebe analize hrvatsko gospodarstvo će se uspoređivati s gospodarstvima Poljske, Češke, Mađarske i Slovenije. Uspoređujući se s drugim državama članicama Europske unije, istraživanje kontekstualizira hrvatsko iskustvo unutar šireg procesa europskih integracija. Na kraju rada će se identificirati reakcija različitih dijelova hrvatskog gospodarstva na ulazak Hrvatske u Europsku uniju čime će se ostvariti cilj rada.

Abstract (english)

The accession of the Republic of Croatia into the European Union represented a key foreign political, economic, and social event in the 21st century, which was the goal after the biggest event in the 20th century, which was the acquisition of independence. The thesis analyzes the impact of Croatia's accession into the European Union on the Croatian economy. Through an extensive analysis, it focuses on various economic indicators and trends before and after Croatia's EU accession. The impact on the gross domestic product, investments, labor market, economic relations with foreign countries and regional development of the Republic of Croatia is researched. For the purposes of the analysis, the Croatian economy will be compared with the economies of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovenia. Comparing with other member states of the European Union, the research contextualizes the Croatian experience within the broader process of European integration. At the end of the thesis, the reaction of various parts of the Croatian economy to Croatia's entry into the European Union will be identified, which will achieve the goal of the thesis.
