Abstract

Društvena odgovornost poduzeća sve je važniji i utjecajniji koncept suvremenog društva kojem je cilj minimizirati negativan utjecaj na okoliš i zajednicu. Kroz ovaj rad prikazana je analiza korelacije između društveno odgovornog poslovanja i modne industrije. S obzirom da je modna industrija, odmah nakon naftne industrije, drugi najveći zagađivač okoliša, prilagodba poslovanja poduzeća u modnoj industriji je od ključne važnosti za dobrobit cjelokupne zajednice. Kako bi poduzeća u modnoj industriji prilagodila svoje poslovanje ka društveno odgovornom, neizbježna je implementacija promjena u njihovim poslovnim procesima i strateškim ciljevima. Svoje ciljeve mogu implementirati kroz nekolicinu unutarnjih (ljudski potencijali, zdravlje i sigurnost zaposlenika, prilagodba promjenama i okolišni prirodni resursi) i vanjskih (lokalna zajednica, odnos sa partnerima i potrošačima, ljudska prava i globalna briga za okoliš) dimenzija društveno odgovornog poslovanja, a sve ranije spomenute dimenzije su u direktnoj korelaciji sa raznim aspektima poput ekonomskih, okolišnih, upravljačkih i društvenih. Rad analizira važnost implementacije društveno odgovornog poslovanja u poduzeća modne industrije te izdvaja nekolicinu pozitivnih i negativnih primjera na tu temu. Empirijski dio diplomskog rada je analiziran putem anketnog upitnika kako bi se iz konkretnih rezultata mogla potvrditi važnost društveno odgovornog poslovanja te razina svijesti koju potrošači, studenti posjeduju na ovu temu.

Abstract (english)

Corporate social responsibility is an increasingly important and influential concept of modern society, which aims to minimize negative impact on the environment and the community. This paper presents an analysis of the correlation between socially responsible business and modern industry. Considering that the fashion industry is the second largest polluter of the environment, right after the oil industry, the adaptation of business operations of companies in the fashion industry is of crucial importance for welfare of the entire community. In order for companies in the fashion industry to adjust their operations towards being socially responsible, it is unavodiably to implement changes in their business processes and strategic goals. They can implement their goals through several internal (human resources, employee health and safety, adaptation to changes and environmental natural resources) and external (local community, relationship with business partners and consumers, human rights and global concern for the environment) dimensions of the corporate social responsibility, and all the previously mentioned dimensions are directly correlated with various aspects such as economic, environmental, managerial and social. The paper analyzes the importance of implementing socially responsible business in fashion industry companies and singles out a few positive and negative examples on the subject. This topis was also analyzed through u survey questionnaire on the topic „Consumers (students) perception on socially responsible business and making decisions about purchasing products“, so that the concrete results could confirm the importance of socially responsible business and the level of awareness that consumers – students have about this topic.
