Abstract

Znanje kao temeljni resurs baza je suvremenog društvenog i privrednog razvoja današnjice kojeg karakteriziraju brze, dinamične i heterogene promjene. Opstanak u tim kompleksnim uvjetima i ostvarivanje konkurentnosti ovisi o sposobnosti neprestane prilagodbe i o praćenju globalnih trendova. Ključ uspjeha je visokoobrazovana, sposobna, vješta, motivirana radna snaga koja ulaganjem u sebe pridonositi povećanju vlastite poslovne kompetentnost ali i uspješnosti organizacije u cjelini. Ulaganje u ljudski kapital, neizostavan je ključ produktivnosti, ekonomskog rasta i konkurentnosti. Unatoč važnosti ljudskog kapitala za konkurentnost organizacije, mnogi zaposlenici hotelijerstva susreću se sa neprepoznavanjem važnosti obrazovanja i ulaganja u razvoj kadrova, što se očituje u nedostatku obuke. Stoga rad ispituje implementaciju procesa edukacije u hotelima na području Republike Hrvatske.

Abstract (english)

As a basic resource of the modern social and economic development, knowledge is marked by rapid, dynamic and heterogeneous changes. Achieving competitiveness and viability in such elaborate conditions depends on constant adjustment and monitoring global trends. The key to success is to possess highly educated, capable and skilled workforce, which is motivated to better themselves and increase their business competence as well as to contribute to the success of the organization as a whole. The investment in human capital is an essential key to productivity, economic growth and competitiveness. Despite of the importance of human capital for the competitiveness of the organization, the majority of employees in hospitality are faced with neglecting viewpoints regarding staff training and lack of investment in human resource development. That is reflected in the lack of training, so the aim of this paper is to examine the implementation of the education process in hotels on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
