Abstract

Upravljanje zalihama predstavlja ključan element za učinkovitost i konkurentnost veleprodajnih poduzeća, jer izravno utječe na njihov operativni uspjeh i financijske performanse. U kontekstu veleprodaje, zalihe obuhvaćaju materijale, robu i sirovine koje se pohranjuju u skladištima s ciljem osiguravanja kontinuirane proizvodnje i zadovoljenja potreba kupaca. Veleprodajna poduzeća suočavaju se s brojnim izazovima u održavanju optimalnih razina zaliha kako bi zadovoljila potražnju kupaca i istovremeno minimizirala troškove. Rizici nedostatka zaliha u logističkom sustavu mogu imati značajan utjecaj na cijeli opskrbni lanac, od narudžbi do krajnjih korisnika, i mogu dovesti do ozbiljnih posljedica kao što su gubitak prodaje, smanjena konkurentnost i narušena reputacija. Ovaj rad istražuje rizike nedostatka zaliha u logističkom sustavu veleprodajnog poduzeća, s posebnim fokusom na poduzeće METRO Hrvatska.

Abstract (english)

Inventory management is a key element for the efficiency and competitiveness of wholesale enterprises, as it directly affects their operational success and financial performance. In the context of wholesale, inventories include materials, goods, and raw materials that are stored in warehouses with the aim of ensuring continuous production and meeting customer needs. Wholesale businesses face a number of challenges in maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs. The risks of a lack of inventory in the logistics system can have a significant impact on the entire supply chain, from orders to end users, and can lead to serious consequences such as lost sales, reduced competitiveness, and damaged reputation. This paper examines the risks of shortages in logistics system of a wholesale company, with a special focus on the company METRO Croatia.
