Abstract

U ovom radu istražuje se važnost poslovnih informacijskih sustava kao neizostavnog dijela suvremenog računovodstva. Računovodstvo, kao ključna poslovna funkcija, sve se više oslanja na tehnologiju kako bi se osigurala točnost, pouzdanost i pravovremenost financijskih informacija. Upravo poslovni informacijski sustavi omogućuju obradu velikih količina podataka te unapređenje ključnih računovodstvenih procesa, što rezultira većom efikasnošću i smanjenjem operativnih rizika. Rad obuhvaća povijesni pregled razvoja računovodstvenih sustava, prijelaz prema digitalnim rješenjima i prilagodbu računovodstvenih stručnjaka suvremenim tehnologijama. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na faze računovodstvenog procesa, odnosno na ulaz, obradu i izlaz, te na to kako informacijski sustavi pridonose unapređenju svake od tih faza. U sklopu rada analizira se način na koji sustavi povećavaju produktivnost, ubrzavaju poslovne procese i smanjuju mogućnost ljudskih pogrešaka. Rad se bavi i izazovima vezanim uz implementaciju poslovnih informacijskih sustava. Drugim riječima, proučavaju se izazovi koje se javljaju u praksi, poput visokih troškova uvođenja sustava, potrebe za edukacijom zaposlenika te sigurnosni izazovi vezanih uz zaštitu podataka. Također se istražuju potencijalni načini unapređenja i prilagodbe sustava specifičnim potrebama organizacija. Ključni cilj rada je pružiti detaljan uvid u ulogu poslovnih informacijskih sustava u suvremenom računovodstvu te istaknuti njihov potencijal za daljnji razvoj i primjenu.

Abstract (english)

This thesis examines the importance of business information systems as an essential part of modern accounting. Accounting, as a key business function, increasingly relies on technology to ensure the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of financial information. It is business information systems that enable the processing of large amounts of data and the improvement of key accounting processes, resulting in greater efficiency and reduction of operational risks. The thesis includes a historical overview of the development of accounting systems, the transition to digital solutions and the accounting experts’ adaptation to modern technologies. Special emphasis is placed on the phases of the accounting process, namely input, processing and output, and how information systems contribute to the improvement of each of these phases. The thesis analyzes how systems increase productivity, speed up business processes and reduce the possibility of human errors. The thesis also deals with challenges related to the implementation of business information systems. In other words, difficulties that arise in practice are studied, such as the high costs of introducing the system, the need for employee education, and security challenges related to data protection. Potential ways of improving and adapting the system to the specific needs of organizations are also being explored. The key goal of the thesis is to provide a detailed insight into the role of business information systems in modern accounting and to point out their potential for further development and application.
