Abstract

Energetski sektor jedan je od glavnih pokretača rasta i razvoja gospodarstva gotovo svake zemlje. Njegov utjecaj na bruto domaći proizvod je neizravan kada je energija intermedijarno dobro i kada preko različitih industrija utječe na rast BDP-a, ali i izravan što se ogleda kroz potrošnju energije u kućanstvima koja ulazi u strukturu osobne potrošnje ( C ) i tada kao dio agregatne potražnje utječe na kretanje BDP-a. Čovjek kroz čitavu svoju povijest iskorištava različite energente, ali tek s prvom industrijskom revolucijom i eksploatacijom ugljena, kasnije i nafte, dolazi do prekretnice i do bržeg gospodarskog razvitka, a razvijenost energetskog sektora i kontrola nad energetskim resursima koji su geografski neravnomjerno raspoređeni, postaje jedna od glavnih odrednica razvijenosti zemlje. Cilj ovog rada je analiza utjecaja energetskog sektora te energetskih šokova na razvoj gospodarstva, odnosno na njegove makroekonomske varijable, ali i uočavanje potrebe za povećanjem energetske neovisnost i efikasnosti te podizanjem razine svijesti o štetnosti negativnih eksternalija energetskog sektora po okoliš i zdravlje ljudi.

Abstract (english)

Energy sector is one of the main drivers of the economic growth and development in almost every country. Its impact on the gross domestic product is indirect when energy appears as intermediate good and through different industries affects the growth of GDP, but it also has direct impact which is reflected in the energy consumption in households that are included in the structure of private consumption C and then as a part of aggregate demand affects the movement of GDP. Throughout history humans have exploited different energy sources but the turning point and the beginning of faster economic development occurred after the first industrial revolution and exploatation of coal, and later oil. Control over energy sources became one of the main determinants od country development. The main aim of this paper is to analyize the impacts of the energy sector and energy shocks on economic development, and its macroeconomic variables, but also identify the need for greater energy independence and efficiency and raise awareness of the damaging effects of the energy sector on the environment and human health.
