Abstract

Razvoj tržišta i tehnologije, tj. praćenje trendova jest ključ opstanka na tržištu i konkuriranja drugim poduzećima, kako u svim područjima, tako i u skladištenju. Skladištenje predstavlja važnu funkciju u logistici i bez dobro organizirane te funkcije, troškovi bi bili veći, a time bi konkurentnost poduzeća bila manja. Glavna svrha ovog rada je prikazati trendove i sustave koji se primjenjuju u skladištenju te onih koji bi se mogli primjenjivati u budućnosti. Informacijski trendovi posebno utječu na optimiziranje zaliha koje se skladište i kvalitetno iskorištavanje skladišnog prostora, uz smanjenje ljudskog rada i smanjenje troškova. U ovome radu je spomenut veliki broj informacijskih tehnologija koje se koriste danas u skladištenju, poput sustava za upravljanje skladišnim poslovanjem, radio frekvencijske tehnologije, bar kodova i slično. Također, operacijski trendovi mogu pomoći kako bi se efikasno iskoristio skladišni prostor i kako bi se poboljšao cjelokupni sustav skladištenja te dodatnim uslugama unaprijedio način poslovanja poduzeća i pružila dodatna vrijednost koja će privući više kupaca. Poduzeće, koje je obuhvaćeno istraživanjem, u svom skladištu ne koristi novu informacijsku tehnologiju, ali postoji mogućnost implementacije. Implementacijom bi se postiglo poboljšanje cjelokupnog poslovanja, ali i povećala konkurentnost među ionako brojnom konkurencijom na tom području djelovanja. Unatoč manjku informacijske tehnologije, nastoje ponuditi dodatne usluge kako bi zadržali postojeće kupce, ali i privukli nove te opstali na tržištu i konkurirali drugima.

Abstract (english)

Development of market and technology, i. e. following trends is the key to survive on the market and to compete with other companies in all areas and in warehousing as well. Warehousing represents a very important function in logistics. Without well organized warehouse function, the costs would be higher and the competitiveness of company would be smaller. The main purpose of this work is to show trends and systems which are applied in warehousing and those which might be used in the future. Information trends particulary affect optimization of inventory which are stored and quality use of storage space, along of reducing human work and reducing costs. In this work numerous information technologies which are used today in warehousing (such as warehouse management system, radio frequency technology, bar code and etc.) are mentioned. Also, operating trends can help us to efficiently use the storage space and improve overall warehousing system, additional services to improve the way of doing bussiness in company and provide an added value which will attrack more customers. The company that is covered by the research in their warehouse do not use new information technology but there is a possibility of implementation. With the implementation company would achieve improvement in doing bussiness but also increase competitiveness among already numerous competiton in this field of activity. Despite the lack of information technology they are trying to provide additional services in order to keep existing customers, but also to attract new and survive on the market and compete others.
