Abstract

S testovima ličnosti treba biti oprezan, no ako ih se upotrebljava pravilno, ovi testovi mogu predvidjeti uspjeh kandidata bolje od bilo kojeg instrumenta. Kod MBTI testa (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) postoji mnogo podijeljenih stavova, no njegov značaj nije zanemariv, pa se tako danas u svijetu izrazito često koristi, bilo za organizacijske svrhe, bilo zbog naprosto amaterske znatiželje.
Sukobi se mogu susresti u svakom području života, gotovo na svakodnevnoj bazi. Organizacijski sukobi mogu predstavljati iznimno velike probleme u složenom svijetu poduzeća. Da bi se znalo kako upravljati sukobima, potrebno je osvijestiti načine ili stilove pomoću kojih se to može i ostvariti.
U ovom radu cilj je analizirati da li postoji povezanost između pojedinog stila upravljanja sukobima i tipa ličnosti. U radu su razrađeni pojmovi osobnosti, psihologije ličnosti, načini mjerenja osobnosti i njezine odrednice, sukoba, stilova upravljanja sukobima, uz detaljniji prikaz tipologije ličnosti prema Jungu i test MBTI, te je provedeno istraživanje anketnim upitnikom glede povezanosti između tipova ličnosti i stila upravljanja sukobima. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 143 ispitanika, a rezultati su pokazali da je apsolutan prvi izbor svim tipovima ličnosti suradnja, sa natjecanjem kao drugim na listi preferiranih stilova upravljanja sukobima. Dok prilagođavanje i izbjegavanje variraju ovisno o različtim tipovima ličnosti, kompromis je zauzimao posljednje mjesto u svim kategorijama.

Abstract (english)

Personality tests should be taken with precaution, but if they are used properly, these tests can predict the candidat's success better than any other instrument. There is a large number of divided opinions regarding MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), nontheless its significance is not negligible, therefore it is used very often today, whether concerning organizational purposes, whether it is due to the amateur curiosity.
Conflicts can be encountered in all the fields of life, almost on a daily basis. Organizational conflicts can represent enormous changes in a complex world of enterprises. In order to know how to manage conflicts, it is necessary to raise awareness of ways or strategies through which we that can be achieved.
The purpose of this paper is to examine whether there is a connection between personality types and conflict-management styles. In this paper, various terms have been elaborated, such as the terms of personality, personality psychology, ways of measuring personality and its determinants, conflict, conflict-management styles, along with the detailed typology of personality according to Jung and the MBTI test, and the research conducted by using the questionnaire concerning the connection between personality types and styles of conflict management. There were 143 participants in the reaserch. The results of the research have shown that collaborating was the absolute first choice regardless of the personality type, along with competing as the second choice. While the position of accomodating and avoiding varied depending on different personality types, compromising was in the last place in all the categories.
