Abstract

Kroz posljednjih dvadesetak godina tržišta električne energije diljem svijeta prolaze kroz
procese deregulacije i liberalizacije. Ukidaju se monopoli nacionalnih elektroprivrednih
poduzeća, mijenjaju se strukture dosadašnjih elektroenergetskih sustava te se povećava broj
tržišnih sudionika. U takvim uvjetima dolazi do potrebe za upotrebom strateških alata kako bi
se osigurala profitabilnost na tržištu. Suvremene metode analize i simulacije tržišta električne
energije podrazumijevaju upotrebu višeagentskih sustava temeljenih na inteligentnim i
autonomnim agentima. Predmeti istraživanja ovog rada su agenti i višeagentski sustavi, tržišta
električne energije te simulacijski modeli koji se koriste u modeliranju i simulaciji tržišta
električne energije. Rad se primarno fokusira na usporedbu tradicionalnih simulacijskih
metoda i višeagetnskih sustava, usporedbu opisanih alata za simulacije te na SWOT analizu
EMCAS (Electricity Market Complex adaptive System) najpopularnijeg programskog alata za
simulaciju tržišta električne energije.

Abstract (english)

Throughout the last twenty years, the electricity markets around the world are going through
deregulation and liberalization processes. The monopolies of national power companies are
being discontinued, the structure of the previous power systems is changing and the number
of market players is increasing. In such circumstances arises a need for using strategic tools to
ensure profitability on the market. Modern methods for electricity market analysis and
simulation include the use of multi-agent systems based on intelligent and autonomous agents.
The subjects of this paper are agents and multi-agent systems, electricity markets and
simulation models used in the modelling and simulation of electricity markets. The main
focus of the paper is comparison of traditional simulation methods and multi-agent systems,
comparison of the described simulation software tools and the SWOT analysis of the EMCAS
(Electricity Market Complex adaptive System), the most popular software tool for electricity
market simulation.
