Abstract

Maloprodaja ima ulogu posrednika između krajnjih potrošača i proizvođača odnosno ponuđača marke. U Hrvatskoj, poduzeća u maloprodaji se klasificiraju na prodavaonice koje nude pretežno prehrambene proizvode i na prodavaonice s pretežno neprehrambenim proizvodima. Veličina poduzeća se uobičajeno mjeri kroz broj zaposlenih, imovinu i prodaju, a uspješnost poslovanja kroz različite pokazatelje profitabilnosti kao što su bruto i neto profitna marža te povrat na ukupnu imovinu i povrat na ukupni kapital. Djelatnost trgovine se suočava s velikim izazovima kao što su konkurencija i koncentracija na domaćem tržištu, uvođenje novih tehnologija, globalizacija i sl. Ograničavajući čimbenici rasta maloprodaje su: nezaposlenost i niska kupovna moć, niska ekonomska očekivanja potrošača te nestabilno makroekonomsko okruženje. Rastući bruto društveni proizvod (BDP) utječe na porast potrošnje i maloprodajnog prometa. Budući razvoj trgovine ovisi o sposobnosti prilagodbe zahtjevima tržišta i zakonodavstvu te praćenju tehnoloških dostignuća.

Abstract (english)

Retail has the role of intermediator between final consumers and manufactures, brand managers. In Croatia, clasification of retailers are on those who have stores with mostly food products and those who have mostly non-food products. Size of a company is usually measured by following indicators; number of employees, asset and sale and the success of business by various indicators of profitability like brutto and netto profit margin, return on total asset and return on total capital. Trade activity is facing with some important challenges like big competition and concentration in the domestic market, introduction of new technologies, globalization ect. Limiting factors of retail growth are; big unemployment, low purchasing power and low economic expectations, unstable macroeconomic enviroment. Growing GDP affect on increasing consumption and retail sales. Future development of trade will depend on ability to adjustment on market demand and legislature, and also success in following the technological achievements.
