Abstract

Radom je pružen teorijski prikaz uloge i značaja poduzetništva kao temeljnog nositelja
pokretanja proizvodnje i drugih poslovnih aktivnosti. Prikazane su osnovne teorijske postavke
poduzetništva te uloga strateškog poduzetništva u razvoju poduzetničkih i razvojnih strategija
malih poduzeća. Provedenom analizom putem anketnog upitnika na uzorku od 138 ispitanika,
doktora dentalne medicine istraživao se stupanj o stupanj razvijenosti poduzetništva u dentalnoj
medicini i dentalnom turizmu u Republici Hrvatskoj te potencijali za daljnji razvoj. Uočene
prilike za razvoj dentalnog turizma nalaze se u zadržavanju i podizanju kvalitete stomatoloških
usluga uz istovremeno fokusiranje na niske troškove kako bi se zadržala konkurentnost te
umrežavanjem i udruživanjem ordinacija dentalne medicine i poliklinika, odnosno stvaranjem
klastera, zajednički nastupilo na međunarodnom tržištu i iskoristio potencijal rasta. Razvoj
dentalnog turizma za sobom očekivano povlači i razvoj pratećih industrija te bi time ukupan
pozitivan efekt na gospodarstvo bio još veći.

Abstract (english)

This paper attempts to provide the theoretical understanding of the role and importance of
entrepreneurship as the main bearer of production and other business activities. The basic
theoretical postulates of entrepreneurship and role of strategic entrepreneurship in the
development of entrepreneurial and development strategies of small businesses. The analysis
via a questionnaire on a sample of 138 respondents, dentists, researched the level of the
development of entrepreneurship in dental medicine and dental tourism in Croatia, as well as
potential for further development. The perceived opportunities for the development of dental
tourism are in keeping and raising the quality of dental services while focusing on low costs in
order to maintain competitiveness as well as networking and pooling of Dental Practice and
clinics, and the creation of clusters, in order to jointly enter the international market and exploit
the potential for growth. The development of dental tourism is expected to entail the
development of related industries and would thus have overall positive effect on the economy.
