Abstract

Vođenje je najzahtjevnija menadžerska funkcija kojom se zaposlenici usmjeravaju i motiviraju na obavljanje određenog zadatka. U teoriji i praksi vođenja postoji više stilova vođenja, od autokratskog s vođom kao jedinom razinom odlučivanja do demokratskog u kojem se i podređeni uključuju u procese donošenja odluka. Iako postoje brojna istraživanja koja dokazuju postojanje uzročno-posljedičnog odnosa između stila vođenja i ostvarenog poslovnog rezultata, još uvijek ne postoji konsensualno mišljenje o tome koji je stil vođenja najbolji za poslovni uspjeh tvrtke.
U radu se govori o pojmu vodstva, domeni vodstva koja se sastoji od tri elementa – vođe, sljedbenika i situacije. Dan je i pregled nekoliko odabranih pristupa vodstvu. Rad govori o pristupu temeljnom na osobinama, pristupu temeljenom na vještinama, stilu, situacijskom pristupu, transformacijskom vodstvu, teoriji puta do cilja te novijim stilovima vodstva.
U radu se analizira mišljenje zaposlenika proizvodnog poduzeća FEAL d.o.o. o stilovima vodstva i karakteristikama vođe. Prema mišljenju ispitanika, za ostvarenje poslovnog uspjeha poželjniji su demokratski stil i stil između demokratskog i autokratskog.

Abstract (english)

Leadership is the most challenging managerial function used for directing and motivating employees to perform certain work tasks. In theory and practice, there are several leadership styles, from the autocratic style with the Leader as the sole decision-maker to democratic style with subordinates involved in the decision-making processes. There are numerous research studies which try to define the relationship between leadership style and business performance but, still, there is no consensus that leadership style is the best for the company’s business success.
This paper gives the definition of leadership and the leadership domain that consists of three elements – leader, follower and situation. A few different leadership approaches are considered: the approach based on leader’s qualities; the approach based on leader’s skills; the approach based on style: situational approach: transformational leadership; path-goal theory; and some newer leadership styles.
This paper analyzes the opinions of empoyees in manufacturing company FEAL d.o.o. about leadership styles and characteristics of Leader. Democratic leadership style and style between democratic and autocratic are generally more desirable ways for business success.
