Abstract

Maloprodaja je u direktnom doticaju s potrošačima. Njezin utjecaj i snaga sve više jača i u odnosu na potrošače i u odnosu na proizvođače. Razvoj maloprodaje u Hrvatskoj karakteriziraju procesi koncentracije, internacionalizacije, smanjenje broja prodavaonica uz porast njihove veličine, smanjenje prometa po četvornom metru prodajne površine uz porast marži i smanjenje zaliha uz porast lepeze usluga. U posljednjih nekoliko godina supermarketi i hipermarketi generiraju više od 2/3 ukupnih prihoda iz maloprodaje u Hrvatskoj. To ih čini glavnim konkurentima diskontnim prodavaonicama na hrvatskom tržištu. Diskontna prodavaonica je maloprodajni oblik specifičan po svom konceptu poslovanja koji se temelji na pristupu bez nepotrebnih dodataka (engl. „no frills“). Cilj diskontne prodavaonice je ponuditi potrošačima kvalitetne proizvode po najnižim cijenama. Istraživanje u ovom radu je usmjereno na prvi međunarodni diskontni lanac prodavaonica koji se pojavio na hrvatskom tržištu – lanac diskontnih prodavaonica Lidl.

Abstract (english)

Retail is directly connected to consumers. Influence and power of retail are growing strong in terms of relationship with both, consumers and manufacturers. Retail development in Croatia is characterized by processes of concentration, internationalization, reduced number of stores with their increased size, reduced turnover per square meter of sales area with an increase in margins and finally, decrease in stock with an increase in the range of services. In recent years, supermarkets and hypermarkets have generated more than 2/3 of total retail sales revenue in Croatia which makes them the main competitors to discount stores in the Croatian market. Discount store is a specific retail form due to its business concept based on „no frills“ approach – with no unnecessary extras. Aim of the discount store is to offer quality products at the lowest prices possible to consumers. Research in this paper is focused on the first international discount store chain on the Croatian market – discount store chain Lidl.
