Abstract

Energetski sektor ima veliku važnost u suvremenim gospodarstvima jer obuhvaća širok spektar djelatnosti, proizvodnje i distribucije energije u kućanstva ili industrije. Energetski sektor uzrokuje i najveću emisiju stakleničkih plinova koji predstavljaju jedan od najvećih problema suvremenog čovječanstva. U borbi protiv zagađenja okoliša Europska Unija i Hrvatska kao njena članica poduzimaju reforme energetskog sektora sa ciljem povećanja energetske sigurnosti i efikasnosti, dekarbonizacije gospodarstava te poticanja konkurentnosti i cjenovno učinkovitih rješenja u tom sektoru. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je analizirati stanje hrvatskog energetskog sektora, njegov povijesni razvoj i pogled u budućnost. U radu je analizirana i privatizacija energetskog sektora, te povezanost potrošnje energije i utjecaja na gospodarski rast.

Abstract (english)

The energy sector is of great importance in modern economies as it encompasses a wide range of activities, production and distribution of energy to households or industries. The energy sector also causes the highest greenhouse gas emissions, which are one of the greatest problems of modern mankind. In the fight against environmental pollution, the European Union and Croatia as a member state are undertaking energy sector reforms aimed at increasing energy security and efficiency, decarbonising economies, and fostering competitiveness and cost-effective solutions in the sector. The aim of this diploma paper is to analyze the state of the Croatian energy sector, its historical development and its future prospects. The paper also analyzes the privatization of the energy sector, as well as the link between energy consumption and the impact on economic growth.
