Abstract

Prijevare u financijskim izvještajima su vrsta poslovnih prijevara u kojima je cilj zavarati korisnike financijskih izvještaja namjernim pogrešnim prikazivanjem. Predmet ovog rada je pobliže prikazati utjecaj računovodstvenih manipulacija i prijevara na pouzdanost i kvalitetu financijskih izvještaja. U radu se najprije analiziraju i sistematiziraju teorijske odrednice računovodstvenih manipulacija i prijevara te se prikazuje srodnost sa teorijskim konceptom kreativnog računovodstva koji je povezan s nastankom računovodstvenih manipulacija. Rezultat istraživanja je prikaz kako računovodstvene manipulacije utječu negativno na pouzdanost financijskih izvještaja budući se upravo financijske izvještaje sprječava da ispune svoj primarni cilj, a to je prezentiranje objektivnog, istinitog i fer prikaza financijskog položaja poduzeća. Nakon što se detektiraju vrste i načini manipulacija u bilanci, računu dobiti i gubitka i izvještaju o novčanom toku, analizirati će se slučaj Agrokor u kojem je došlo do različitih financijskih prijevara i manipulacija.

Abstract (english)

Financial statement fraud is a type of occupational fraud that aims to deceive users of financial statements by intentionally misstating. The subject of this thesis is to give a closer look at the impact of accounting manipulations and fraud on the realibility and quality of financial statements. The thesis analyzes and systematizes the theoretical determinants of accounting manipulations and fraud and presents the relatedness to the theoretical concept of creative accounting that is associated with the emergence of accounting manipulation. The result of the research is to show how accounting manipulations adversely affect the reliability of the financial statements, since financial statements are specifically prevented from meeting their primary objective of presenting an objective, true and fair view of an entity's financial position. After identifying the types and methods of manipulations in balance sheet, profit and loss account, and cash flow statement, there will be presented the Agrokor case which various financial frauds and manipulations.
