Abstract

Cilj ovog završnog rada je upoznati se s tradicionalnim oblikom turističke agencije koja je dugo vremena bila jedini način njenog poslovanja te s druge strane istražiti kako je razvoj tehnologije i pojave Interneta utjecao na njen razvoj posredovanja u kojem se stvorio novi oblik poznat pod nazivom On-line turistička agencija. Također će se u ovom radu teorijski analizirati prednosti i nedostatci vezani za suvremeno poslovanje turističke agencije koji će se kasnije potkrijepiti na primjeru Expedia.com On-line turističke agencije. Kao zaključak, mnogi autori tvrde kako je Internet nedvojbeno nadopunio i olakšao način posredovanja u segmentima informiranja, promidžbe, te prodaje turističkih proizvoda. Međutim pojavljuju se stavovi autora koji smatraju novu tehnologiju pogubnom za klasičan oblik turističke agencije. U 21. stoljeću, gotovo je nezamislivo živjeti bez moderne tehnologije koja se temelji na korištenju računala i računalnih mreža te je tako njena primjena od životne važnosti za cjelokupnu egzistenciju svih poduzeća pa time i turističkih posrednika na turističkom tržištu.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper is to get acquainted with the traditional travel agency which has long been the only way of its business, and on the other hand to explore how the development of technology and the Internet has influenced a new form of agency known as On-line travel agency. This paper will also theoretically analyze the advantages and disadvantages associated with the modern business of a travel agency, which will later be supported by the example of the online travel agency Expedia.com. In conclusion, many authors claim that the Internet is undoubtedly supplemented and facilitated of mediation in the segments of information, promotion and sales of tourist products. However, there are views of authors who consider the new technology disastrous for the classic form of travel agencies. In the 21st century it is unthinkable to live without modern technologies based on the use of computers and computer networks, so On-line businesses are of great importance for their continuation.
