Abstract

Turizam u Hrvatskoj već dugi niz godina pokazuje kontinuiran rast u broju dolazaka i noćenja turista, osobito inozemnih. Kako bi bila ukorak sa suvremenim trendovima, Hrvatska se nastoji prilagoditi sve većoj i zahtjevnijoj inozemnoj potražnji, uslijed čega je važno konstantno analizirati trendove i njima prilagođavati postavljene ciljeve razvoja. Važnu ulogu u razvoju turizma Hrvatske i općenito njezine ponude čini glavni grad Zagreb koji već dugi niz godina bilježi sve veće turističke rezultate. Zagreb predstavlja važnu komponentu razvoja kontinentalnog turizma u Hrvatskoj te se ponajviše naporima Turističke zajednice grada Zagreba nastoji izgraditi imidž kakav imaju konkurentni europski gradovi.

Na temelju navedenog, u ovome radu se kroz detaljnu analizu turističke ponude i potražnje grada Zagreba prikazuju trendovi u turizmu ovoga grada te očekivane kratkoročne i dugoročne promjene istoga. Cilj ovog istraživanja je proanalizirati razvoj grada Zagreba iz turističke perspektive i ukazati na rastući turistički promet s vodećih emitivnih turističkih tržišta. Budući da je Hrvatska do sada svoju turističku ponudu temeljila na 3S turističkom proizvodu, analiza pokazuje kako inozemni turisti osim boravka u primorskim krajevima pokazuju jaku motivaciju za posjetom i boravkom u glavnome gradu jedne od zemalja članica Europske unije.

Abstract (english)

Tourism in Croatia has for many years shown a continuous growth in the number of tourist arrivals and overnight stays, especially from abroad. In order to keep pace with modern trends, Croatia is trying to adapt to the growing foreign demand, as a result of which it is important to constantly analyze trends and adjust them to development goals. An important role in the development of Croatian tourism and its offer in general is played by the capital city of Zagreb, which has been recording increasing tourist results for many years. Zagreb is an important component of the development of continental tourism in Croatia. Efforts are being made by Zagreb Tourist Board to build an image worthy of presenting city of Zagreb on European tourism market.

Based on the above, in this thesis through a detailed analysis of the tourist offer and demand are presented trends in tourism of this city and expected short-term and long-term changes. The aim of this research is to analyze the development of the city of Zagreb from a tourist perspective and to point to the growing tourist traffic from the leading emitting tourist markets. Since Croatia has so far based its tourist offer on the 3S tourist product, the analysis shows that foreign tourists, in addition to staying in coastal areas, show strong motivation to visit and stay in the capital of one of the EU member states.
