Abstract

Radna angažiranost popularan je pojam u organizacijskoj psihologiji, te je kao takva posebno
važna menadžerima kojima je cilj povećati profit kroz povećanje radne angažiranosti i
efikasnosti zaposlenika. Menadžerski posao je kompleksan, a u njegovim funkcijama sadržane su
brojne aktivnosti. Budući da menadžeri svoje osnovne zadatke obavljaju radeći s drugim ljudima,
važno je da posjeduju određena znanja i vještine. Poznato je da se, uz znanje kao relevantan
čimbenik uspješnog poslovanja, sve više stavlja naglasak na razvijenost menadžerskih vještina i
sposobnosti. Menadžerske vještine mogu se podijeliti na socijalne, konceptualne i tehničke
vještine. Istraživanja su pokazala kako podučavanja usmjerena na menadžerske vještine kao što
su npr. podučavanje u vođenju, komuniciranju i samosvijesti rezultiraju poboljšanjem
menadžerskih performansi. To je navelo brojna poduzeća da svake godine izdvajaju milijunske
iznose za razvoj programa kojima će se unaprijediti menadžerske vještine. U ovom radu se na
primjeru malog građevinskog poduzeća nastojala utvrditi povezanost između menadžerskih
vještina poduzetnika i radne angažiranosti zaposlenika. Analizom rezultata istraživanja
povezanosti razvijenosti menadžerskih vještina i radne angažiranosti zaposlenika u malom
građevinskom poduzeću Tehnorad, ustanovljeno je kako direktor poduzeća ima razvijene
socijalne, konceptualne i tehničke vještine, pri čemu su najrazvijenije tehničke, što odgovara
profilu građevinske struke u kojoj je izrazito bitno znanje struke. Osim toga, kroz intervju sa
direktorom poduzeća moglo se uvidjeti kako direktor ulaže u edukacije svojih zaposlenika te
njeguje prijateljski i mentorski odnos, što je u skladu s visokim ocjenama direktorovih socijalnih,
tehničkih i konceptualnih vještina.

Abstract (english)

Work engagement is a popular term in organizational psychology, and as such is especially
important to managers who aim to increase profits by increasing work engagement and employee
efficiency. Managerial work is complex, and its functions include numerous activities. In order
to successfully accomplish their basic tasks by working with other people, it is important that
managers possess certain knowledge and skills. It is known that knowledge is no longer the most
important factor for business success, and more emphasis is placed on the development of
managerial skills and abilities. Managerial skills can be divided into social, conceptual and
technical skills. Research has shown that education focused on managerial skills such as
education in leadership, communication, and self-awareness results in improved managerial
performance. This has led many companies to set aside millions each year to develop programs
to improve management skills. This paper, on the example of small construction company, is
trying to showcase to connection between managerial skills of entrepreneur and work
engagement of his employees. Through analysis of results related to the relationship between the
development of managerial skills and employee engagement in a small construction company
Tehnorad, it was found that the company's director has developed social, conceptual and
technical skills, of which technical skills are most developed, which makes sense considering it's
construction company. In addition, through an interview with the director of the company, it was
established that director invests in the education of his employees and nurtures friendly and
mentoring relationships, which correlates with high ratings of director's social, technical and
conceptual skills.
