Abstract

Pojam poduzetništva prvi puta se pojavljuje krajem 17. i početkom 18. stoljeća. Riječ poduzetnik se prvi puta spominje u djelu Opća rasprava o prirodi trgovine, Richarda Cantillona, koji se smatra utemeljiteljem klasične ekonomije. Poduzetnika je definirao kao pojedinca koji kupuje robu po poznatoj cijeni, a prodaje na tržištu po nepoznatoj cijeni. Cantillon je poduzetnikom smatrao osobu koja preuzima rizik, odnosno osobu koja obavlja poslove i radi u neizvjesnim uvjetima ne znajući ishod svoga rada. Bitnu ulogu u francuskoj povijesti poduzetništva imao je i francuski teoretičar Jean Baptiste Say, koji se svojim zakonom tržišta dao do znanja kako poduzetnikom smatra osobu koja je sposobna uočiti ravnotežu između ponude i potražnje. Mnogi smatraju kako su najveći doprinos poduzetničkoj teoriji pridonijeli upravo njih dvojica. Njihova otkrića i teorije su kroz godine prihvatili i proširili mnogi teoretičari koji se također spominju u ovome radu.

Abstract (english)

The concept of entrepreneurship first appears in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The word entrepreneur is first mentioned in Essay on the Nature of Trade in General, written by Richard Cantillon, who is considered as a founder of classical economics. He defined an entrepreneur as an individual who buys goods at a known price and sells it on the market at an unknown price. Cantillon considered an entrepreneur to be a person who takes risk, in other words a person who works in uncertain conditions without knowing the outcome of his work. The French theorist Jean Baptiste Say also played an important role in the French history of entrepreneurship, with his law of market in which he considered that an entrepreneur should be capable to recognize the balance between supply and demand. Many believe that the two of them contributed the most to the theory of entrepreneurship. Their discoveries and theories have been accepted and disseminated over the years by many theorists who are also mentioned in this work.
