Abstract

Turizam prolazi kroz promjene iz godine u godinu. Masovni turizam i dalje je dominantan proizvod. Međutim, svjetski turizam postepeno prelazi s masovnog na održivi razvoj pojedinih oblika turizma. Sportski turizam jedan je od specifičnih oblika turizma koji značajno koristi ekološka, ekonomska i društvena načela održivosti. Bavljenje sportom i sportskim aktivnostima postao je sastavni dio života ljudi u domicilu, ali i na putovanjima te se sve više destinacija okreće razvoju sportskog turizma. Hrvatska također pokušava promijeniti smjer razvoja turizma i priključiti se ostalim destinacijama u razvoju održivog turizma. Potencijal Hrvatske za razvoj sportskog turizma vidljiv je Kontinentalnoj regiji koja je nedovoljno iskorištena i slabo prepoznatljiva na turističkom tržištu. Ovaj diplomski rad analizira sekundarne podatke te ih uspoređuje s primarnim istraživanjem o mogućnostima održivog razvoja sportskog turizma na prostoru Kontinentalne Hrvatske.

Abstract (english)

Tourism is going through changes from year to year. Mass tourism is still the dominant product. However, international tourism is gradually moving from mass towards sustainable development of certain forms of tourism.. Sports tourism is one of the special interest tourism that significantly uses ecological, economic and social principles of sustainability. Engaging in sports and sports activities has become an integral part of people's lives in domicile, but also during travel, and increasing number of destinations is turning towards development of sports tourism. Croatia is also trying to change the direction of tourism development and join other destinations in the development of sustainable tourism. Croatia's potential for the development of sports tourism is visible in the Continental region, which is underused and poorly recognizable in the tourism market. This master thesis analyzes secondary data and compares them with primary research in terms of possibilities of sustainable development of sports tourism in Continental Croatia.
