Abstract

Cilj rada je istražiti mogućnosti koje dolaze kroz društveno poduzetništvo, prednosti i izazove koje su pred njim te kako samo društveno poduzetništvo utječe na društvo. Društveno poduzetništvo, kakvo danas poznajemo, počelo se razvijati krajem 20. stoljeća. Začetnikom društvenog poduzetništva smatra se Gregory Dees. Postoje tri tipa društvenog poduzetnika koji imaju određene karakteristike i komponente koje ih čine drugačijima od tradicionalnih poduzetnika. U Europskoj uniji društveno poduzetništvo je poprilično nevidljivo premda se zadnjih godina provode različita mapiranja i unapređenja za taj sektor. Situacija svake zemlje članice znatno je drugačija jer sve zemlje članice nisu jednako dugo u Europskoj uniji te iz toga treba gledati i razumjeti različitosti u društvenom poduzetništvu. Hrvatsku karakterizira kasniji razvoj društvenog poduzetništva. Prisutnost društvenog poduzetništva u Hrvatskoj najviše se očituje kroz djelatnost udruga. Postoji niz aktera iz različitih sektora koji su relevantni za stvaranje ekosustava i društvenog poduzetništva u Hrvatskoj.

Abstract (english)

This paper explores the opportunities of social entrepreneurship, shows the benefits and challenges in social entrepreneurship and shows how this type of business affects the society. Social entrepreneurship began to develop in the late 20th century. The founder of social entrepreneurship is Gregory Dees. In this paper, we will present three types of social entrepreneurs who have special characteristics which distinguish them from traditional entrepreneurs. In the European Union, the sector of social entrepreneurship is mostly invisible even though, in the last few years, there are some developments in the area of mapping to improve this sector. The situation in every country of the European Union is fairly different from one another, therefore, social entrepreneurship could be watched from a perspective of each countries' different past and the unequal start of the membership in the European Union. In Croatia, social entrepreneurship has developed later than it has in the European Union. It is mostly present in the work of associations. Many factors from different sectors are relevant in creating an ecosystem and social entrepreneurship in Croatia.
