Abstract

Svakodnevno širenje Covid-19 virusa u svijetu je prouzročilo velike promjene u gospodarstvu. Došlo je do raznih promjena kako u svakodnevnom životu tako i u poslovnom svijetu. Može se reći kako je pandemija Covid-19 ponajviše utjecala na slobodno kretanje stanovništva, a samim time grana koja je najviše pogođena širenjem ovog virusa je turizam. Hoteli su se suočili s raznim promjenama. Pad broja gostiju, pad prometa te razne restrikcije. Hoteli koji se ponovno otvaraju moraju razmotriti nove mjere i politike u vezi sa strogim smjernicama oko socijalnog udaljavanja, higijene i smanjenog smještajnog kapaciteta u cijelom hotelu. Također se suočavaju s pritiskom ponovnog otvaranja i natječu se za mali dio populacije koji putuje tijekom pandemije. Sve to rezultira većim troškovima, manjim maržama i povećanjem ostalih financijskih i operativnih troškova i rizika. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati kako menadžment hotela treba poslovati za vrijeme pandemije Covid-19 i nakon pandemije. To jest, kako treba organizirati i popuniti svoje smještajne kapacitete uz postavljenje mjere. Pokazat će se na primjerima kako su hoteli u Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji organizirali rad te popunili kapacitete iako je smanjen broj populacije koja putuje.

Abstract (english)

The daily spread of the Covid-19 virus around the world has caused major changes in the economy. There have been various changes both in everyday life and in the business world. We can say that the Covid-19 pandemic has mostly affected the free movement of the population, and thus the branch most affected by the spread of this virus is tourism. Hotels have faced various changes. Decrease in the number of guests, decrease in traffic and various restrictions. Reopening hotels must consider new measures and policies regarding strict guidelines on social exclusion, hygiene and reduced accommodation capacity throughout the hotel. They also face the pressure of their reopening and compete for a small portion of the population traveling during a pandemic. All this results in higher costs, lower margins and an increase in other financial and operational costs and risks. The aim of this paper is to show how hotel management should operate during the Covid-19 pandemic and after the pandemic. That is how to organize and fill your accommodation capacity with the setting of the measure. It will be shown by examples how hotels in the Split-Dalmatia County organized work and filled capacities, although the number of traveling population has decreased.
