Abstract

Pojava automobila donijela je mnoge pozitivne učinke na svakodnevni život prosječnog čovjeka. Omogućen je brži transport ljudi i raznovrsnih dobara, osim fizičkih proizvoda omogućeno je lakše izvršenje određenih usluga koje zadovoljavaju ljudske potrebe. To sve je dovelo do rapidnog ekonomskog napretka i boljitka u ljudskoj povijesti. Iako su pozitivni učinci enormni, u zadnjim godinama naglasak se prenosi na negativne eksternalije koje su dugo bile potisnute, a pitanje održivosti automobilske industrije nikada nije bilo aktualnije nego što je ono danas. Potrebno je analizirati negativne učinke proizvodnje, eksploatacije i zbrinjavanja automobila kako bi se pronašla bolja rješenja. U tom je smislu neophodno preispitati mjesto i ulogu cjelovitog planiranja i upravljanja u okvirima održivog razvoja u automobilskoj industriji. Cilj diplomskog rada je istražiti trenutni stupanj integracije koncepta održivog razvoja u automobilskom sektoru. Pomoću pregleda dimenzija održivosti analizirat će se utjecaj automobilske industrije na gospodarstva određenih država kroz direktne i indirektne utjecaje, ophodnja prema zaposlenicima i poboljšanja u smislu ekološke održivosti.

Abstract (english)

The emergence of the car has brought many positive effects on the daily life of the average person. It enabled faster transport of people and goods, it helped in performing certain services that meet human needs. All this has led to rapid economic progress and improvement in human history. Although the positive effects are enormous, in recent years the emphasis has shifted to negative externalities that have long been suppressed and the issue of sustainability of the automotive industry has never been more relevant than it is today. The negative effects of car production, usage and disposal need to be analyzed in order to find better solutions. In this sense, it is necessary to reconsider the place and role of holistic planning and management in the framework of sustainable development in the automotive industry. The aim of this master’s thesis is to investigate the current level of integration of the concept of sustainable development in the automotive sector. By means of a review of sustainability dimensions, the impact of the automotive industry on the economies of certain countries will be analyzed through direct and indirect influence, as well as employee treatment and improvements in terms of environmental sustainability.
