Abstract

Ovaj se radi bavi temom utjecaja pandemije COVID-19 na hrvatski turizam. Naime, ova je tema vrlo aktualna jer je navedeni javno-zdravstveni problem zahvatio cijeli svijet i ostavlja negativne posljedice na brojne djelatnosti. Budući da gospodarstvo Republike Hrvatske počiva na turizmu, za pretpostaviti je da se pandemija negativno odrazila i na turizam Hrvatske općenito, a samim time i ostavila posljedice na gospodarstvo. U skladu s tim, u ovom se radu daje pregled hrvatskog turizma prije i tijekom pandemije koronavirusa, tj. prikazuje se usporedba predpandemijske 2019. godine sa pandemijskim godinama (2020. i 2021.). Iz rada se može zaključiti da je hrvatsko gospodarstvo defintivno pogođeno pandemijom, što će ostaviti dugoročne posljedice i slijedi velika recesija. Naime, 2020. godina bila je najgora godina u povijesti putovanja, ne samo u Hrvatskoj nego i u cijelome svijetu. No, već se u 2021. godini mogu primijetiti određeni pozitivni pomaci, što je rezultat javno-zdravstvenih preporuka i mjera te posljedično i povoljnije epidemijske situacije.

Abstract (english)

This paper deals with the topis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Croatian tourism. Namely, this topis is very current beacuse the mentioned public health problem has affected the whole world and leaves negative consequences for numerous activities. Since the economy of the Republic of Croatian rests on tourism, it can be assumed that the pandemic had a negative impact on Croatian tourism im general, and thus left consequences on the economy. Accordingly, this paper provides an overview of Croatian tourism before and during the coronavirus pandemic. A comparison od the pre-pandemic year 2019 with the pandemic years (2020 and 2021) is shown. It can be concluded from the paper that the Croatian economy is definitely affected by the pandemic, which will have long-term consequences and major recession will follow. Namely, 2020 was the worst year in the history of travel, not only in Croatia but also in the whiole world. However, certain positive developments can already be noticed i 2021, which is the result of public health recommendations and measures and, consequently, a more favorable epidemic situation.
