Abstract

Poslovna analiza predstavlja koristan alat kojim se prvenstveno koristi menadžmenti pri planiranju te kao takva jest osnova za donošenje strateških i operativnih odluka u organizaciji. Primjenjiva je za razne vrste organizacija uz određene specifičnosti ovisno o sektoru, a u ovom radu provest će se analiza Privredne banke Zagreb d.d., jedne od najvećih poslovnih banaka na hrvatskom tržištu. Analizirat će se unutarnje i vanjsko okruženje poduzeća s naglaskom na SWOT i PESTLE analizu kao i analizu industrije modelom Porterovih pet sila. Također, provest će se analiza financijske situacije pa će ovaj rad objediniti oba aspekta sa svrhom bolje procjene uspješnosti poslovanja promatranog poduzeća. Banke u Hrvatskoj su kreditne institucije kojima je Hrvatska narodna banka izdala odobrenje za rad te je njihova uloga u gospodarstvu neizostavna. Glavni cilj rada je donijeti zaključak o uspješnosti poslovanja Privredne banke Zagreb d.d. na temelju provedene analize. Metodom deskripcije, analize, sinteze, indukcije, kompilacije i komparacije ostvarit će se navedeni ciljevi te će dobivene informacije moći koristiti široj javnosti. Da bi analiza bila valjana potrebno je rezultate dobivene analizom financijskih izvještaja usporediti s najvećim bankama na hrvatskom tržištu: Zagrebačka banka d.d. i Erste&Steiermarkische Bank d.d. koje ujedno predstavljaju glavne konkurente Privrednoj banci Zagreb d.d. Znanstveni doprinos rada ogleda se u razvoju znanstvene misli o pojmu poslovne analize te prikazu modela i instrumenata za provođenje iste. Aplikativni doprinos rada očituje se u potvrdi značajnosti odabranih metoda poslovne analize u mjerenju uspješnosti ovakvog tipa poduzeća, praktičnoj osnovici za provođenje iste u daljnjim istraživanjima te primjeni dobivenih rezultata u donošenju odluka za eksterne i interne dionike. Osim znanstvene i stručne literature u radu će se koristiti i ostali relevantni sekundarni podaci poput publikacija, relevantnih web stranica i drugih internetskih baza podataka te revidirani financijski izvještaji koji će se koristiti za ocjenu financijske situacije.

Abstract (english)

Business analysis is a useful tool primarily used by management in planning, and as such is the basis for making strategic and operational decisions in the organization. It is applicable to various types of organizations with certain specificities depending on the sector, and this thesis will analyse Privredna banka Zagreb d.d., one of the largest commercial banks on the Croatian market. The internal and external environment of the company will be analysed with an emphasis on SWOT and PESTLE analysis as well as industry analysis using Porter's five forces model. Also, an analysis of the financial situation will be carried out, so this thesis will combine both aspects with the purpose of better assessing the business performance of the observed company. Banks in Croatia are credit institutions licensed by the Croatian National Bank, and their role in the economy is indispensable. The main goal of the thesis is to draw a conclusion about the success of the operations of Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. based on the conducted analysis. With the method of description, analysis, synthesis, induction, compilation and comparison, the stated goals will be achieved and the obtained information will be able to be used by the general public. In order for the analysis to be valid, it is necessary to compare the results obtained from the analysis of financial reports with the largest banks on the Croatian market: Zagrebačka banka d.d. and Erste&Steiermarkische Bank d.d. which also represent the main competitors of Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. The scientific contribution of the thesis is reflected in the development of scientific thought about the concept of business analysis and the presentation of models and instruments for its implementation. The applied contribution of the thesis is manifested in the confirmation of the significance of the chosen methods of business analysis in measuring the performance of this type of company, the practical basis for carrying it out in further research and the application of the obtained results in decision-making for external and internal stakeholders. In addition to scientific and professional literature, the thesis will also use other relevant secondary data such as publications, relevant websites and other online databases, as well as audited financial reports that will be used to evaluate the financial situation.
