Abstract

Fintech, odnosno financijske tehnologije, trenutno su jedna od najaktualnijih tema svjetskog financijskog tržišta, a sama fintech industrija jedna je od najbrže rastućih industrija u svijetu. Fintech, kao takav, vrlo je općenit pojam i podrazumijeva brojna nova tehnološka rješenja koja za cilj imaju poboljšanje i automatizaciju raznih vrsta financijskih usluga. Iz godine u godinu globalna turistička ponuda raste i unaprjeđuje se kako bi se prilagodila suvremenoj turističkoj potražnji. Među brojnim trendovima na globalnom turističkom tržištu, kao najrelevantniji vezan za tematiku rada, ističe se trend digitalizacije u turizmu. Sukladno razvoju fintech industrije, mijenjaju se i navike modernih potrošača, posebice u segmentu načina plaćanja proizvoda i usluga. S obzirom da trend digitalizacije u turizmu obuhvaća i digitalizaciju plaćanja ovaj rad istražuje potencijal fintech industrije u digitalnim načinima plaćanja u turizmu.

Abstract (english)

Fintech, or financial technologies, is currently one of the most current topics in the world financial market, and the fintech industry itself is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Fintech, as such, is a very general term and implies numerous new technological solutions aimed at improving and automating various types of financial services. Year after year, the global tourist supply grows and improves in order to adapt to modern tourist demand. Among the numerous trends in the global tourism market, the digitization trend in tourism stands out as the most relevant to the topic of this thesis. In accordance with the development of the fintech industry, the habits of modern consumers are also changing, especially in the segment of payment methods for products and services. Given that the trend of digitalization in tourism includes the digitalization of payments, this paper explores the potential of the fintech industry in digital payment methods in tourism.
