Abstract

Upravljanje poslovnim kontinuitetom postaje neizostavan proces kojeg primjenjuju osiguravajuća društva. Broj prijetnji s kojima se suočava djelatnost osiguranja sve je veći stoga je od velike važnosti upravljati poslovnim kontinuitetom kako bi se minimizirale posljedice neželjenih događaja. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati kako se upravlja poslovnim kontinuitetom u djelatnosti osiguranja u Republici Hrvatskoj. Kako bi se ostvario cilj rada bit provedena je analiza dosad provedenih istraživanja koja su u fokusu imala upravljanje poslovnim kontinuitetom u sustavu osiguranja te je provedeno i izviđajno (kvalitativno) istraživanje u sklopu kojeg je kao instrument istraživanja korišten podsjetnik za intervju. Ispitanici su bili stručnjaci iz osiguravajućih društava koji su kompetentni za temu ovog istraživanja. Rezultati provedenog primarnog istraživanja pokazali su kako sva poduzeća iz uzorka primjenjuju upravljanje poslovnim kontinuitetom. Većina ispitanika (90%) iskazala je suglasnost oko promptne reakcije regulatora u kriznim vremenima s kojima je tržište osiguranje bilo zahvaćeno u 2020. i 2021. godini. Na temelju razvijene interne regulative i pravovremenih zaštitnih mjera regulatora omogućen je nastavak nesmetanog poslovanja.

Abstract (english)

Business continuity management is becoming an indispensable process applied by insurance companies. The number of threats facing the insurance industry is increasing, so it is of great importance to manage business continuity in order to minimize the consequences of unwanted events. The goal of this paper is to show how business continuity is managed in insurance activities in the Republic of Croatia. In order to achieve the goal of the work, an analysis of the research carried out so far was carried out, which focused on business continuity management in the insurance system, and a scouting (qualitative) research was carried out, in which the interview reminder was used as a research instrument. The respondents were experts from insurance companies who are competent for the topic of this research. The results of conducted primary research have confirmed that all companies from the sample apply business continuity management. The majority of respondents (90%) agreed with the prompt reaction of the regulator in times of crisis with which the insurance market was affected in 2020 and 2021. On the basis of the developed internal regulations and the timely protective measures of the regulator, it is possible to continue uninterrupted operations.
