Abstract

Croatia is changing fast and developing also based on the world's standards. When the domestic
market was satisfied mainly in the 1970s, however, the established system and developmental
orientation started to exhibit serious flaws, including poor quality, low productivity, an
insufficient industrial structure concerning export opportunities, and a monocentric spatial
arrangement. In the near term, the country may experience faster growth than the growth rate
required to maintain the current account balance, mainly when global conditions are favourable.
A smaller public sector that is more stimulating for economic growth could be attained by
cutting back on non-productive spending categories like administration, the military, and the
police, improving the cost-effectiveness of public projects, and strictly enforcing limits on
future transfer growth. The Porsche AG, which made a 2018 investment in Rimac Automobili's
ownership structure, is aware of the advancements the business makes. Because Croatia has the
knowledge and opportunities for innovation in the automotive industry but also lacks the
financial resources that major automakers have, it is necessary to seek Mate Rimac's advice to
develop the automotive industry.

Postojeći sustav i smjer razvoja, međutim, počeli su pokazivati ​​velike slabosti nakon što je lokalno tržište 1970-ih uglavnom bilo zadovoljeno, uključujući lošu kvalitetu, nisku produktivnost, neadekvatnu industrijsku strukturu s obzirom na izvozni potencijal i monocentričnu prostornu organizaciju. Kada su globalni uvjeti povoljni, zemlja može doživjeti jači rast u kratkom roku od stope rasta potrebne za održavanje ravnoteže tekućeg računa. Smanjenje neproduktivnih kategorija rashoda kao što su uprava, vojska i policija, povećanje isplativosti javnih projekata i pažljivo provođenje ograničenja budućih povećanja transfera moglo bi rezultirati manjim javnim sektorom koji je poticajniji za gospodarski rast. Porsche AG je svjestan pomaka koje tvrtka postiže jer je 2018. investirala u vlasničku strukturu Rimac Automobila. Savjet Mate Rimca potreban je jer Hrvatskoj nedostaju financijska sredstva koja imaju veliki proizvođači, a istovremeno posjeduje stručnost i perspektivu za inovacije u automobilskom sektoru.
