Abstract

Vjerski turizam jedan je od najstarijih oblika turizma za koji se turisti odlučuju motivirani, djelomično ili u potpunosti, vjerom. Razlozi vjerskih putovanja mogu biti posjet određenim svetim mjestima, sudjelovanje u vjerskim događanjima, okupljanja vjernika ili hodočašća uz naglasak na zadovoljavanje unutarnjih duhovnih potreba čovjeka. Generacija Z, često nazivana „Internet generacijom“, generacija je kojoj korištenje suvremenih tehnologija predstavlja okosnicu životnog stila i sastavni je dio njihovog identiteta. Riječ je o generaciji koja daje prednost komunikaciji putem društvenih mreža, fleksibilnosti i osobnoj slobodi. Cilj istraživanja ovog diplomskog rada je ispitati do koje mjere su mladi pripadnici Generacije Z motivirani za stjecanje iskustava u pojedinom segmentu vjerskog turizma u Republici Hrvatskoj te koji su njihovi stavovi glede trenutnog stanja vjerskog turizma namijenjenog Generaciji Z u Republici Hrvatskoj. Kao metoda za prikupljanje primarnih podataka u ovom istraživanju korišten je online anketni upitnik. Istraživanje je provedeno u razdoblju od 18. ožujka do 5. kolovoza 2024. godine, na uzorku od 148 ispitanika. Istraživanjem je utvrđeno da većina ispitanika Generacije Z nije upoznata s ponudom vjerskog sadržaja za mlade u Republici Hrvatskoj, ali ima želju za sudjelovanjem u istom. Kao glavni motiv koji Generaciju Z potiče na vjerska putovanja su vjera i napredak u odnosu s Bogom. Generacija Z stajališta je da je vjerski turizam za mlade u Republici Hrvatskoj osrednje razvijen, ali da ima potencijala za daljnji razvoj. Pritom smatraju da je potrebna veća promocija vjerskog turizma putem društvenih medija.

Abstract (english)

Religious tourism is one of the oldest forms of tourism for which tourists are motivated, partially or completely, by faith. Reasons for religious travel could be to visit certain holy places, participate in religious events, religious gatherings or pilgrimages with an emphasis on satisfying internal spiritual needs. Generation Z, often called „Internet generation“, is a generation for whom the use of modern technologies represents cornerstone of their lifestyle and an integral part of their identity. It is about a generation which prefers the communication through online social networks, flexibility and personal freedom.The aim of the research of the master thesis is to examine to what extent the young representatives of Generation Z are motivated for gaining experience in a particular segment of religious tourism in the Republic of Croatia and what are their attitudes regarding the current situation of religious tourism for Generation Z in the Republic of Croatia. An online survey was used as a method for collecting primary data in this research. The research was conducted in the period from March 18th to August 5th, 2024, on a sample of 148 respondents.Through research it was determined that the majority of respondents of Generation Z are not familiar with the offer of religious content for youth in the Republic of Croatia, but have a desire to participate in it. The main motive that encourages Generation Z for religious journeys is faith and progress in the relationship with God. Generation Z is of the opinion that religious tourism for youth in the Republic of Croatia is moderately developed, but that there is potential for further development. At the same time, they believe that greater promotion of religious tourism through social media is needed.
