Abstract

Rad se fokusira na dvije ključne komponente, teorije vodstva i generaciju Z pri čemu je glavna svrha otkriti specifičnost vođenja generacije koja tek stupa na tržište rada kako bi se organizacije i vođe što efikasnije pripremile za njihov dolazak. Sukladno tome, cilj ovog rada je omogućiti vođama pregled osobina koje ova generacija očekuje od njih na radnom mjestu. Percepcija zaposlenika o poželjnim osobinama vođe omogućit će vođama pregled osobina na koje se najviše i na koje se najmanje trebaju koncentrirati pri svom razvoju. U svrhu ovog diplomskog rada provedeno je empirijsko istraživanje o poželjnim osobinama vođe iz perspektive generacije Z. Pripadnici generacije Z u istraživanju izražavaju svoje mišljenje o važnosti osobina vođe te percipiraju najviše i najmanje poželjne osobine koje očekuju od istog. Rezultati istraživanja podudaraju se s teorijskim okvirom te je zaključeno da je generacija Z postala svjesna važnosti liderskih osobina.

Abstract (english)

The paper focuses on two key components, leadership theories and generation Z. The main purpose is to discover specifics of leading a generation that is just entering the labor market in order to prepare organizations and leaders as effectively as possible for their arrival. Accordingly, the aim of this paper is to provide leaders an overview of the traits this generation expects from them in the workplace. Employee perception of desirable traits will allow leaders to review the traits they need most and least to focus on in their development. For the purpose of this thesis, an empirical study was conducted on desirable traits of a leader from the perspective of generation Z. Members of generation Z in this research express their opinion on the importance of leadership traits and perceive the most and the least desirable traits they expect from their leader. Research shows that the results coincide with the theoretical framework and it was concluded that generation Z has become aware of the importance of leadership traits.
