Abstract

Ekološka proizvodnja hrane je industrija koja je tek u začecima u Republici Hrvatskoj sa značajnim potencijalom za razvitak, a sve u okviru održivog razvoja. Cilj istraživanja za potrebe pripreme ovoga rada je, prikupiti podatke i informacije na temelju kojih se može izvesti zaključak o glavnim aspektima održivog razvoja u industriji ekološke proizvodnje hrane. Osim stanja navedene industrije na domaćem tržištu, stupanj njezinog razvoja prikazat će se za zemlje EU i svijeta. Zaključak je da osim brzorastućih svjetskih trendova razvoja tržišta ekoloških proizvoda za Hrvatsku bitno i tržište EU koje još uvijek nije dosegnulo fazu zrelosti pa se daljnji rast tek očekuje. Veliki potencijal za izvoz postoji s obzirom da se broj ekoloških poljoprivrednih površina zajedno s brojem ekoloških proizvođača u Hrvatskoj uvelike povećao zadnjih nekoliko godina te se očekuje i daljnji rast s obzirom na poticanje ekološke poljoprivrede s državne razine. Osim toga, hrvatski ekološki proizvodi upotpunjuju turističku ponudu Hrvatske te doprinose stvaranju održivog turizma. Zaključci rada su dodatno potkrijepljeni pozitivnim primjerom hrvatske tvrtke koja je povećanje brige za zdravlje odnosno zdravi način života prepoznala kao globalni trend i uspješno posluje na hrvatskom tržištu već šestu godinu.

Abstract (english)

Organic food production in a form of industry started showing it's begginings in Croatia with significant potential for development, all within the framework of sustainable development. The aim of research for the preparation of this paper is to collect data and information on which will be draw conclusions about the main aspects of sustainable development in the organic food industry. In addition to the status on this industry in the domestic market, the degree of its development will be shown for EU countries and the world. The conclusion is that apart from the fast-growing global trends in the development of the market of organic product for Croatia, the EU market, which has not yet reached the stage of maturity, is important, so further growth is still expected. There is a great potential for export, given that the number of organic agricultural areas, together with the number of organic producers in Croatia, has increased substantially in the last few years, and is expected to continue to grow given the encouragement of organic farming from the national level. In addition, Croatian organic products complement Croatia's tourism offer and contribute to the creation of sustainable tourism. The conclusions on the paper are further substantiated by a positive example of a Croatian company that has recognized the increase in health care and healthy lifestyles as a global trend and has been operating successfully on the Croatian market for six years now.
