Abstract

Data mining is one of the fundamental parts of knowledge discovery, and it holds an essential role in today's business environment. Its ability to process and analyze large sets of data enables faster and more accurate results on a given topic. The findings are used for further development of the model and commonly support the decision-making process and management roles. This paper aims to showcase a practical use case involving market basket analysis and how it aids the decision-making process. The end goal is to explain how data mining supported by association rules algorithm helps businesses grow by providing them with insightful information discovered from their current database.
