Sažetak | Tema istraživanja ovog rada pregled je stanja i trendova na svjetskom i hrvatskom tržištu
FinTech-a. U svijetu konstantnih tehnoloških promjena, financijsko tržište također je
zahvaćeno utjecajem informacijskih tehnologija i računalnih znanosti koje sve više mijenjaju
postojeće standarde i načine poslovanja u svijetu financija.
navike mijenjaju kroz vrijeme, oni u današnje vrijeme preferiraju što digitalnije i jednostavnije
proizvode od strane financijskih institucija čije proizvode koriste.
Prvo dio rada predstavlja teorijski okvir FinTech-a; uključujući sam pojam FinTech-a, njegov
povijesni okvir i potrebu za FinTech rješenjima u današnje doba. U drugom dijelu rada objasnile
digitalne inovacije u regulatornim procesima.
dugoročnu održivost i profitabilnost. |
Sažetak (engleski) | The research topic of this paper is an overview of the current conditions and trends o global
and Croatian FinTech market. In the world of constant technological changes, the financial
market is also affected by the influence of information technology and computer science,
which are increasingly changing the existing standards and ways of doing business in the
world of finance. This is how new companies are created, which create new markets with
their products and services, or in combination with banks, insurance companies and other
traditional financial institutions, join forces and together launch new products on the market
that serve consumers. Since consumer habits also change over time, nowadays they prefer the
most digital and simple products from the financial institutions whose products they use.
The first part of the paper presents the theoretical framework of FinTech; including the very
concept of FinTech, its historical framework and the need for FinTech solutions in today's
age. In the second part of the paper, the technologies on which FinTech is based were
explained, namely the Internet of Things, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, cloud
computing and robotic automation in the process. Following on from the second part, the third
part of the paper deals with the products of the FinTech industry, namely: mobile payments,
digital banking, robo-advisors, cryptocurrencies, digital innovations in insurance and digital
innovations in regulatory processes. In the fourth part of the work, the Croatian FinTech
market was analyzed, in which the solutions implemented in banks and insurance companies
were first analyzed, namely KEKS Pay and LAQO digital insurance. Croatia also has very
successful FinTech companies, in which AirCash and Electrocoin stand out in terms of size,
revenue and usage. However, the paper also mentions other selected Croatian FinTech start-
ups, namely Amodo, Oradian, Farseer and Revuto. Although the mentioned 4 are not as big as
Air Cash and Electrocoin in terms of size, each of them has its own specific niche in which it
has found its place in the market. Since AirCash and Electrocoin are the only ones that have
seriously transferred part of their business to foreign markets, it is concluded that in the
future, regardless of the potential of Croatian start-ups, it is important that they succeed in
positioning themselves in foreign markets, since business on the Croatian market as a FinTech
the company can hardly ensure long-term sustainability and profitability. |
