Sažetak | Organizacije danas rijetko osiguravaju stalno radno mjesto i stabilan radni odnos što mlade s invaliditetom suočava s još jednim izazovom, izazovom razvoja vlastitih znanja, vještina i sposobnosti. U Republici Hrvatskoj se prepreke zapošljavanju i stjecanju radnog iskustva mladih nastoje ublažiti i eliminirati postupcima profesionalne rehabilitacije, definiranjem jedinstvenog osnova utvrđivanja invaliditeta, projektnim aktivnostima, partnerskim pristupima i budućim planiranim projektima.
Sažetak (engleski) | Organizations today rarely provide permanent jobs and stable employment and young people with disabilities are faced with yet another challenge, the challenge of developing their knowledge, skills and abilities. People with disabilities, in addition to the discrimination that is present in all areas of work and working conditions, including the ability to practice self-employment activities, seize advancement opportunities, access to all types of vocational training, professional development, training and retraining, are faced with constant changes in organizations and economy. In today's environment, it becomes necessary to establish good practices of employment, selection, integration and development of young people with disabilities in the employment process. It is necessary to raise public awareness of discrimination and the need for its control, to teach key participants and to achieve a systematic effect on the value system. Employment opportunities in all industries, not just the ones that seem to be ''specific'' for people with disabilities, need to be open to young people with disabilities. In Croatia, the obstacles to employment and work experience of young people with disabilities are being eliminated by the procedures of professional rehabilitation, defining a uniform basis of disability, by project activities, a partnership approach and future planned projects.
The research part of the paper investigates the experiences of young people with disabilities in employment and gaining first work experience. The empirical research was conducted on a sample of 30 members of the Association for the promotion of quality education of youth with disabilities "Zamisli" with varying degrees and areas of education. Mandatory criterion was age, members from ages 19 to 30 were tested. The results show that the biggest obstacle young people with disabilities face in employment, is precisely the refusal of employers to provide them customized jobs. Although most of them have not directly experienced discrimination, the vast majority experienced discrimination during job interviews and employment. They want to be more self-concious, but as well that employers are more educated and changes in the law. Young people with disabilities consider that employers and legislators are most responsible for their bad position. |
